Brake lines

The brake line uses brake fluid to apply pressure to the brakes when the brake pedal is pressed. To keep your braking system working properly, brake lines need to be replaced occasionally. How often this is necessary depends on how much you drive, how often you brake hard, and whether your car is frequently exposed to frost and road salt.

A brake line often consists of two parts. A rigid copper pipe and a flexible rubber hose reinforced with woven steel. Because the hose is located near the wheels, it moves and is therefore subject to wear and tear. Stone martens also like to sink their teeth into brake hoses. If you've had problems with stone martens in your car, it's a good idea to have those checked as well. The hoses are connected with a union nut or connector.

Brake Line Purchase

We offer brake lines, connectors, union nuts, and holders in both custom-fit and universal designs. It is always wise to check the length and diameter before purchasing. Replacing a brake line is a fairly simple job, but it is important that it is done correctly. After replacing the brake line, the system must be bled, this is also a good time to top up the brake fluid.
