During hot summer days, the air conditioning in the car can be very comfortable. However, the air conditioning consists of many parts, which can sometimes break. For example, do you notice that there is no longer any cold air coming out of the air conditioning, is the air conditioning making a strange noise or is there a strange smell coming from the fan? Then it is important to check the parts such as the  compressor and the evaporator and replace them if necessary. At Winparts you will find all parts for the air conditioning of the car. Order the parts easily online with the car model. Fill this in on the website and the correct parts will be displayed.

The air conditioning of the car is very useful to have in your car not only in summer, but also in winter. Besides the fact that the air conditioning can let a nice cold breeze flow through the car in the summer, it is also useful in winter to let the air conditioning blow. In case of rain and ice, condensation can form on the windows. If you always leave the air conditioning on gently, the condensation will be greatly reduced. In addition, it is also good for the air conditioning components that they are used regularly.

Air conditioning car operation

We all know that the car's air conditioning is good for a nice cold breeze. But how exactly does it work?

The car air conditioning consists of several parts, starting with the  compressor. The compressor compresses the gaseous coolant contained in the air conditioner, causing the gas to rise in pressure and temperature. This hot gas is then transported to the  condensor where the gaseous coolant is cooled by means of wind. By cooling the gaseous medium, it is converted to liquid. The coolant is now liquid and ends up in the  air conditioning dryer to filter out the dirt and moisture. There is still a lot of pressure on the coolant at the moment. The  expansion valve allows small amounts of coolant to pass through to the  evaporator at a time, reducing the pressure. Because the pressure of the coolant is much lower when it enters the evaporator, the coolant is made gaseous again. Because the liquid coolant is converted back to gas in the evaporator, the coolant cools down and can be blown into the interior as cold air by the fan.

Air conditioning car broken

Age or lack of maintenance can destroy the air conditioning components. A common problem is, for example, that the car air conditioning no longer cools properly or even blows warm air. This may indicate that the compressor has broken down or that the fan and evaporator are no longer working properly. Furthermore, the car air conditioning can make humming or whistling noises while driving. This humming noise is often the result of a worn compressor. A whistling sound, on the other hand, has to do with improperly closing fan grilles.

Did you know that poorly maintained air conditioning in the car can even be bad for your health? You can catch a cold or even get a respiratory infection. Therefore, when you notice the symptoms, make sure to replace the defective parts as soon as possible. In addition, you can then make optimal use of the car air conditioning.
