Cool box 12V

A 12V cool box is a cool box with a power connection for the car. Most cigarette lighters in the car are also supplied with 12V power. A 12V cool box generally comes with a handy plug cable, which can be plugged into the cigarette lighter. For example, the cool box is supplied with power by the car battery. This is of course very useful when you are on the road for a long time or when you go camping and want to keep the drinks and snacks cool. Make sure that you choose the cool box with the correct connection. Cool boxes with a 24V connection can only be used in a 24V connection. You can find these on trucks, for example. Using the wrong connection may cause the equipment to burn out.

Connecting a cool box

The cool box with a 12V connection often comes with a plug, which can be plugged into the cigarette plug. However, the cooler now uses power from the car battery, which may be less convenient once you've arrived on site. This problem is solved with an inverter. Plug the cool box into the inverter, and you can plug in the plug. The cool box is now simply connected to the mains power, and no longer takes power from the battery!
