How to restore your headlights?

  3. Start sanding the headlights with p1000 sandpaper. It is important that the sandpaper stays wet. Many headlight restorer kits have a special polishing agent for this. Polish the headlight well, continue for a few minutes.
  4. Sand the headlights again with p1500 sanding paper. Repeat this also with p2000 sandpaper. The headlight restoration kits often contain different colours of sandpaper, use these in the order indicated in the instruction manual.
  5. After sanding, rub the headlight thoroughly dry with a dry cleaning cloth. Then apply the supplied compound to a dry cloth and rub it over the headlight until it gets clear again.
  6. Wipe the headlight clean until all polish is gone. Then thoroughly clean the headlight again so that all dirt is gone. Then dry the headlight again with a dry cloth.
  7. You can then treat the headlight with a protective coating.
  8. Are your headlights not clear yet? Then we recommend that you go through all the steps again. It is possible that your lamps are too cloudy for one treatment.
