For example, it is important to immediately check the condition of the valve. Also clean the valve well and let some air escape from the tyres if necessary. This ensures that the valve is blown clean from the inside. With aluminum or metal caps, it is useful to also lubricate some copper grease in the caps. Otherwise you may not be able to get the cap off properly later.
